The deadhead deviation is a HUGE change to the commuting policy, as it will cover hotels and flights if there is money in your travel bank and your trip starts or ends with a DH. 30% of trips do, according to the call. That is about all of the details that were given, but it is going to be huge for new commuters, according to the union. Also, I am curious how hard it is going to be to hold the lines with these commutable trips, now, and after PBS, whether there will be a bidding option that says "preference trips that start and/or end with a DH."

Min duty period is 5 hours, not a vacation day. Vacation is still an industry low 2:40 a day. Did they say if picking up flying over vacation is still allowed under the unions proposal? Can you work down below 10 days off in the unions offer? I think they call it dead head deviation. Similar to what FedEx has. Company said they cannot afford the proposal. They won’t be able to staff this airline if they don’t pay for it. If this drags out more than another couple weeks the exodus will continue to kill their growth plans.

Are they going to be actual “commutable” trips or still the super early starts on day 1 and late finish on go home day. That’s what keeps a lot of commuters away. With OO and 9E both having MSP bases, you can go there and have a better QOL as a commuter flying a RJ right now

I was told TA by Nov 30, however based on on other rumors I find that hard to believe. My guess is that it is just part of the lie they want to spread to try to minimize attrition. Over the last 4 months we've just been able to maintain our number, if they want to grow and be able to actually fly the charter work coming up, they will have to attract and retain more. 47 planes can't fly themselves, and I really don't believe JB is just wants to collect them. The 81-95 hour lines and no QOL is getting old. It is going to take a long time for things to improve, contract->hiring/retention->better lines/QOL in that order. With all the airlines ramping up hiring, I don't blame anyone for not having the patience to wait around for what may or may not be industry standard.
