the only take aways from the union call today was "negotiations are going to take a long time", "vote with your feet", "sun country may not be for everyone". a bit different than last week when they were still spouting "18 months".
makes sense though, you can only keep repeating "18 months" until pilots realize its been 6+ already.

Hi all. I have an interview coming up for Sunny and I would like your opinions on Sunny. I just started at a regional and will be upgrading within a 6 months to a year; I have my times to upgrade now but I am so jr it's going to be a bit.
I would be an east coast commuter and now I live in base. I read the forums about Sunny and it seems commuters have a rough time. Would it be better to upgrade at my current gig and apply to lcc's or maybe flow in 5-7 years or make a career at sunny. I only have about 11 years left.
Thanks!

Tough question with the uncertainty, but honestly probably the upgrade and move to somewhere else. It does suck here as a commuter if you like seeing your family. Willing to move to the tundra? That might make the painful reserve rules and unknown contract horizon a little better, but I’ll tell you most commuters I know are running for the door.

That’s my point. Most of these trips are built with layovers that put us in the position to fly somewhat fatigued on the last day or evening. They totally know that on the 6th day the “go home” day we’ll do whatever it takes to get home. If you’re fatigued exercise your right to stop the operation and rest.

????Glad you think you know who I am, but you're wrong. Also, my posts on here have zero influence on what ALPA does. I wish I had that kind of pull. You give me too much credit. I don't even go to ALPA meetings or Zooms, so I have very little influence other than a phone call maybe once every 6 months. And by the way, you wouldn't be getting paid better with better work rules. That's fantasy land. Pay and work rules would be the last thing the company would entertain and it wouldn't have been done with LOAs. Any LOA signed off on was to benefit or give relief to the company. Pay and work rules we want would not give them relief, so they are not interested. Sorry you think I ruined your chances for that big payday, but again, you give me too much credit.

I didn't "ruin" any deals by my posts here. I guess you're right. I'm not very seasoned about this company, it's history, how I have so much influence, and how the pilots suffer from the Stockholm syndrome. Just stop. I'm allowed to have an opinion without getting attacked. I have opinions like everyone else, but to say it moved the needle is laughable. So again, stop. And if you think you know who I am, come talk to me. I'm baffled why you had to try and make it personal?
