so... Eric>Gus>Matt, does it seriously take 3 people to do one job?
no excuses now for this to be a highly effiecient and streamlined training program that is contractually compliant.
im sure they will find a way to blame us for the fail

Dont forget Lindsey-Dan-Brian .....Revolving chief pilot door. People here less then a year have had three chiefs. This new guy feels like an interim.
If I was the kinda guy to get in trouble, well, I'd check MY emails to see who THE *&$# I report too.
Then ya got the MEC essentially saying DEQUAL! over an HSM. FLY THE CONTRACT!
really? I mean, trust me. We're all WELL versed in fatigue. We've all called in fatigued about 32 times in the last whatever. Well. Not all. Some drink orange koolaid.

Oh. And eCrew sucks. Out

Unity. LOL.

Yes. That’s why company wants to talk about new bases in mid-term discussions.

My pet theory is that the hiring freeze and retooling of the training department in the interum was in anticipation of some type of merger. Frankly I dont think it played out. Classed set to resume in March from what it sounds. I think we can bid for the iAero contracts we want, we can pick and choose the aircraft that we want to buy, and we can individually hire their pilots that we want (with the added benefit of putting the on the bottom of our payscale). We can buy them a la carte. I imagine this played into managements captain solution as well. Plenty of iAero captains would more than likely upgrade immediately.

But I will agree that EM went on for quite a while about merger language and logistics for a company not planning to merge. I'd be very curious to know what a seniorty list merge would look like around here.

In my time at Sun Country, the same thought resonates over and over. Does (whatever it is this week) really need to be this hard?

Payroll to pbs, sim training to IT, crew meals to cockpit cleanliness, does anyone know how to point the gun away from their foot?

So here comes the idea of opening a pilot base. Others do this obtw. With relative ease..... The MEC doesn't make it any easier. They seem- combative. Couldnt the company simply come forth and say, "you see the news, last week we based a plane in Milwaukee. Let's talk about what it would take to base a dozen pilots there- temporarily or permanently."

Instead.... Feels like we get WWIII. So I ask again. Does it really need to be this hard?

Why does it need to be so easy for the company to open and close based on a whim? The pilots don’t want to be nomads. The company has said for the last few years they have no plans to open new bases. All the sudden they want new bases?
They’re just trying to get a rise out of the pilot group and you seem to always fall for the bait. Distract, divide, and conquer. That’s the motto management seems to go for.

Should have went to Allegiant if you want microbases. No one should go to sun country expecting anything other than the status quo imo.

I'm not falling for any message from management That is never gonna happen. I'm making the same point you are in that none of this needs to be this hard. It's all so adversarial. Perhaps saying that blame can be shared is not well received. Well. That's my opinion. Sorry.
