Sure I may be pulling the ripcord early, but I’m far from the only one.

In the interim, I am curious to see what happens around here. I like the people I fly with and want to see the place do well.
You got hood winked! You get paid 75 hours a month first year, that should’ve been what you figured your budget. Didn’t you do any outside research for yourself? What a sucker! Of course they are gonna try to sell you what it may have been like for a short period. Every month is different. Premium pay and movement dries up pretty fast when management cuts flying.

With the “unprecedented” insider selling (google sun country airlines, click news) I don’t know what to think.

I can gladly concede the difference time has made. It was the gaping hole between what recruiting advertised versus the reality on the ground. That’s my contention. Reserve is not the problem. I should have been more specific in my post. I recognize we have it better today than pilots ever had. But the conversation surround what defines competitive pay today is different.

I have encountered numerous new hires even today who are hitting the line, seeing the Seniority list, putting 2 and 2 together, and being caught off guard.

A quick way to guarantee attrition is to lead with dishonesty. That is what I’m trying to say. Yes. I should have been more skeptical. There is no woe is me. My life is turning out fine. I’m just drawing attention to a problem recruiting has created that has caught many people off guard.

This is absolutely hilarious to read after our back and forth exchange earlier this year. The kool-aid has finally worn off? Bottom tier ULCC is what Sunny will ALWAYS be. During the best hiring market possibly ever absolutely nobody should be wasting their time at this place.

Oh god. I’ve got a stalker! I thought you moved on to BestJets, or was it Ameriflight, after flying that yellow colored thingy!
There’s more than a few airlines left behind by the legacy contracts. WHICH! Is what we should all compare ourselves too. Not some Mesaba experience.
Still. I fly 12 days next month. Make 15k this month with picking up. Right seat. Way better than our old employer.
And hope you’re doing well. Even if you’re a putz.
