I'm sure it's going to be tough though. The recent events with requesting/forcing new hires to train outside of the contractual hours is probably a good indication of what the Company is asking for. I too have had pretty good experiences in the training center.

I did however, get my first jet type rating, 9 sims, in a 0230 slot. Pretty much the worst 2 weeks of my life, seriously.

The more guys we have teaching and checking the better your relative seniority is every month and the more furlough protection you get because the more they have to hire. Section 9 is very very important

I had to sign up for an account here just for this. After my last PC, which was by far the worst experience I've ever had in a PC, because of the more senior brother check airman as my seat support, which was a joke, and the dbag giving the checkride, who just makes **** up, now I couldn't give a **** about any of them. I'd love for them to clean up amongst themselves but it won't happen. They are getting theirs and they are just worried about themselves. Sorry, it's been awhile and it still makes me physically angry. Wish I had known then that the contract says you don't have to have a check airman as seat support. Won't happen again. Rant over.

Mind telling us what happened? Not to attack you but what part of the contract says you get to pick your sim partner? Did you report this experience to anyone?

You can PM me if you'd prefer.

Wow. Not sure what happened with you, but I had a check airman for seat support on my last PC and it was the easiest one I've ever done.

Edit: quoted the wrong guy, you guys get it.

Going to +1 this post. A check airman as seat support is a quick and easy ride, assuming the person being checked is prepared.

How in the hell do we already have a dead page in this thread?

This is the only message board I've ever seen this ridiculousness on. Glad it's free, so that limits the validity of the frustration.

There is another option where we can take all of this out of the public domain.

I believe we are really close on Section 9, so I'm not sure it's even worth discussing. Once that gets wrapped up this month it's on to the big boy items

Yeah my shots weren't directed at our training department. Between them and Rich E they are the only culture we have molding a bunch of freight dogs and regional pilots together. They do an amazing job with the tools and time allotted. Much respect!

However section 9 should look like big boy airlines section 9. Also, anyone else notice the horrifically low moral in the training department lately?
