Spirit of NKS, Part IV

Looking at the investor relations fleet plan page we are net 15 new airplanes this year. Six in this quarter alone. We now have a 100 aircraft fleet. And yet we remain at 12 CUG a month. That is a management decision.
We have access to four full motion simulators on a full-time basis. It is well known in the industry that other providers are booked solid. It is a management decision to continue to utilize the current school house facilities and not build a suitable facility that will handle our growth to a 150+ aircraft.
Seeking agreement to allow non-seniority instructors to teach ground school, CSI, and FTD while not expanding the facilities is tinkering around the edges. That is a management decision.
Not staffing and training the CS folks, yup, management decision.
Dropping the hiring to 2000 hours min., and then hiring as low as 1500 hrs.?
Whatever comes this summer, its on management.

38 canceled flights from yesterday (31) and into today (7).
Figure over 6,000 passengers stranded on spring break.
Totally controllable, staffing issues. Too bad passengers are getting the bad end of the deal regarding poor staffing.
You see this Bob, Bendo, Jyri? Of course you do...this is what you get.

That's what a cost neutral agreement buys you. With our customers our FAs should be industry leaders but the pay isn't worth it for the punishment. Fine by me. More pie for us.

I'll add to the list of poor management decisions. Whoever decided to cram 500 pax into the closet known as gates B37 and B38 in BOS... Two full 321s departing within 30 mins of each other. I say that's a massive fire hazard. I'm shocked the airport allows it to happen TBH. There were maybe 100 seats total in the area for both gates.

Each plane needs 8 Captains. That's 120 for the 15 planes. If we maintain 12 CUGs / month, that's 144 a year. 24 extra. I'm thinking the 3rd new hire class each month is for attrition.
