I think it would be far worse to have union guys making back door deals in exchange for special favors, as opposed to exercising their contractual right to get in line for overtime just like everybody else on the standing available list.

Yeah well let's get rid of the fly your line Mantra then. Apparently nobody cares. If union guys can soak up the overtime then so can I and so can everybody else. It's all good now as far as I'm concerned

I don't see any members of the MEC on the standing available list. I do see some committee members on there but none of the elected guys

Is it possible these guys dump the majority of their line in the initial, and then put themselves on the standing available? So maybe they have 4 pairing in a month, they drop 2 or 3 of them. Now they put themselves on the standing available on the days they were suppose to work. The company pays more money for the standing available, plus they still have to cover the pairings they dropped. So wouldn't this cost the company more money to cover all this?

As long as it's per the CBA, that's everyone's right. We are all union guys/gals.

Too bad ALPA national cares more about the viking boogeyman than prioritizing industry-standard CBAs for Low-Tier airlines like NK, B6, and F9.
