It would only be a special kind of dumbass that would even consider picking up more because of this stupid threat. The only ones I think we'd have to worry about are the ones we've finally turned to see the light go back to their choking ways while justifying it!

I've really never studied the history of past pilot groups suffering any ill fate due to the so called work actions. It just baffles me that any court would even consider awarding retribution if people simply don't want to work on their days off! Kind of mind blowing......

Several FLL CA trips got covered today.
The only minor effect the MEC email had, was giving licence to those few, to save the day.

The MAY massacre can be easily proven to be a direct cause of management's actions during IOT/DOT, and their blatant abuse of reserve buffer days.
We want to help the company, but how could we?
With every day red, there is no flexibility to drop and pickup.
With 4 days off, unless one can adjust by dropping, there is simply no room for picking up open time.

Any effective manager would take responsibility, not send silly emails about how tough this month has been...
Very uninspiring leadership!

Strength in numbers, united we stand!

Not Spirit Airlines management! It's still playing by an outdated management play book. The Pilots Union been telling management you need to clean up your act and hire? Staffing issues last month, NEO's and WX have created the perfect storm. Now the Company wants me to give up my personal time to clean up their mess? Sorry NO! I'm sure the June bid cycle will be fine!
Exactly- couple that with the fact that the company- since the last major meltdown in June 2015- significantly changed its policy about restoring days off for those pilots who do help on their days off- and continues to cheap out on trying to offer Move-up pay only for pilots offering to help out on their days off. Add on the disparaging remarks from management toward pilots- add the failure of the company to negotiate in good faith-- the create a **** sandwich for the June-May transition and expect us to bail them out?????? ***. Whats the golden rule?? The email that Bendo sent today was comical...."lets help each other out- the Spirit Family" Maybe we should start by having more than two customer service agents at the ticket counter after a mass cancellation of flights. Don't ask the employees to continue to subsidize your ****ty business practices and then blame them when they finally hit their breaking point.

The way I see it, now the closet chokers are going to save the day. To me it's perfect to see the true colors of the rest of the chokers.

I find it interesting as well that even in their worst state since the major summer meltdown they are not following the contract to restore days off. Min days off is 13. So if they call to JA you demand a trip get RLS to get you back to 13 days off at a minimum. Then they'll say they cant, and then you don't have to be the bad guy. Make them follow the contract. This ensures nobody was slowing anything down. It's not a deal if you know your rights. And they won't give RLS anymore so you can stay home with your family.

Or just don't answer your phone and enjoy your days off. Problem solved.

Doesn't say shall or must. It's at their discretion.

With Crew Scheduling’s concurrence, he may be restored an equal number of days off.

In the next paragraph:
In addition, no pilot may be scheduled on a day off that takes him below 10 days off nor on any immoveable day off.

Know your contract otherwise you cannot make educated votes on the next one. Our contract is readers digest compared to most. It's not hard to know section 25 and 12 solid

Whaaaaat? Are you suggesting that management threatening litigation didn't fix the problem?
