Exactly!! Why are we getting slapped for only flying our line which is 100% contractual. I did not see anything that says I have to fly on my days off or that a JA was mandatory. The union NEEDS to not back down and demand that management is held accountable for this mess. It's not my job, I did it last summer and what did I get in return? NOTHING

Actually that article that someone posted earlier from the LAS News was from 2015.

Do what you want on your days off but coming on a public forum and advocating a concerted effort really will be used against the group in court... And by extension, mediation. If the pilot group are really enjoying time off instead of picking up open trips that are worth less and less in today's dollars, that's the free market forces at work. If people really are trying to tell others not to pick up (or shaming those who do)... That is a job action. Tread very carefully. This forum is the first place company lawyers will go for evidence in an injunction.

I am no lawyer ( but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express Lastnight), but I would argue that this forum doesn't make you authenticate you identity when you sign up. So how do we know that these post are not from management talking about job action to make a stronger case. I would then ask this be thrown out as evidence.

Well said. Many are speculating that the airline was going to melt down one way or another and now they can just come on here and use it as evidence against us.

Publicly shaming people into not flying on days off is not contractual.

I agree but the people that might have been called out on this forum and that website did not change their behavior. It's the majority of the pilot group reacting to the CEO and COO's public comments and actions at the negotiating table.

Six guys on APC doesn't constitute a job action. Our MEC has repeatedly instructed members to continue to fly as usual. I imagine a second year law student could handle this if it gets in front of a judge. This airline runs on razor thin margins in every aspect and continually slaps their pilots in the face with one disparaging remark after another and now two consecutive concessionary TA's. Eventually the holes in the Swiss cheese align and you get weeks like this one. I haven't flown on a day off since August and don't plan to start now.

That said, make damn sure you're where you're supposed to be when you're supposed to be there. This will get ugly and hostages will be taken. CYA. F5.

I agree a couple guys shouldn't become a successful lawsuit in the companies favor. But on the flip side of your statement a lawyer could make this work in the companies favor as well. The nasty picture these guys paint on these forums easily makes it seem like 80-90% of the pilots are all for their way of thinking. This could easily turn into a scenario where the actions of a few effect us all. I seriously hope not and I hope we're able to counter any potential lawsuit the company may bring but regardless times are about to get real dark here.
