Spirit of NKS, Part IV

So the company threatens to sue us due to their own lack of leadership and preparation. If they can't staff the airline properly to avoid cancellations during transition, that is not the pilot's fault. Just like in society today, there is an extreme lack of accountability with taking responsibility for your actions. Management is not taking responsibility for their actions and lack of leadership running this airline! Their focus is on $$$ and not on their employees.
In the mean time, until they show us respect and pay us accordingly, I will continue to enjoy my time off. I am not going to worry about their staffing issues and their "fires." I feel so sorry for all of our passengers who have to experience the incompetency of management through canceled flights.

This is what happens when the CEO takes $7.2 million in compensation, more than a million more than the CEO of SouthWest which is the largest domestic airline. This is what happens when you run a company hundreds of pilots thin they become tired and fatigued. This is what happens when a company pays you close to 100% less than other airlines flying the same aircraft.
This is what happens when your CEO has publicly stated that his pilots are "Lower Tier". This is what happens when your contract has expired two years ago. This is what happens when AA and JetBlue give their pilots a significant raise because it was the right thing to do. This is what happens when your CEO publicly stated on a earnings conference call that the company is seeking a cost neutral contract. This is what happens when the company offers a concessionary contract after negotiating for two years.
This is what happens when the company tells us we are not worth what we are asking for. This is what happens when you want to earn enough to pay your bills, send your kids to good schools and maybe save some money for retirement.
But as I understand, most of the cancellations are due to wind and weather.

This is what happens unfortunately when your employer lacks leadership. When our CEO came on board, he never introduced himself to the employees or addressed the direction of the airline.

This place is run just as bad as a regional. It'll never change until we get a whole new cast of leadership. No bob, JS, bendo. The culture here is FU employees. FU customers. They want every penny at any cost. That will destroy the airline. Soon enough will be plane deferrals. Mass exodus. no new hires.

After two solid tumultuous weeks of complete utter deafening silence, Bobby did come out and say "Hi, my name is Bob. I like Pizza and Ice Cream."
Everything else? Spot on.
Jesus. You'd think that for $7.2m he'd at least be able to afford a weekend course on public speaking. At the very least.
