Spirit MCO base?
#51
This rumor resurfaced because F9 is getting close to their IPO. I heard this week... which is also a rumor.
Edit: Explain to me how merging will cause negotiations to last even longer? Typically the unions have required a JCBA prior to an SLI. The company needs an SLI to streamline the operation. That is unless they are able to keep is completely separate and whipsaw us.

There is zero benefit to the pilot groups for a merger of f9/nk except for the tiny fraction that wants to be based in abc/xyz etc

While I certainly agree that we have quite a few pilots who are similar to battered wives (I guess you don't have those pilots there) we are growing, we're certainly making a ton of money (well Indigo is, and it's not exactly hard to that find out) and the airline isn't "treading water" as our negotiations seem to be catching up to Spirits. Of course that is yet to be seen. I still think it's gonna come down to a strike for us. Probably a race to the strike vote between spirit and F9. Fortunately our mediator is forcing the company to have more sessions per month. If that matters...
I also think that being purchased by JetBlue would would absolutely be better than being bought by Spirit Wings.

How much money are you making? I don't see any numbers, do you have them? I thought Indigo was privately held. Has any data been released in regards to the IPO?
Spirit is on a crash diet trying not be the fattiest ugliest chic in the room and I don't see how merging the only uglier chic in the industry is going to be a good thing. We both need to find a sugar daddy and not be trying to make babies together.

They are growing steadily and have a healthy profit margin. A quick google search will turn up several articles.
That describes just about every airline merger that happens.
JetBlue... which has different manuals, cabin configurations, and reservation system.
