Yeah, this is nothing like Republic and F9. Not sure how you can compare Spirit that way. 15%-20% profit margins and a billion in the bank. Fun to speculate who will buy us, though.

I was at Republic when all of that went down. Definitely a huge mess. Frontier had an offer from Southwest at the time that they somehow screwed up and ended up tied to a regional for a while.

The bankruptcy judge said no to the Southwest deal because the plan did not address labor. SWAPA wanted to staple the Frontier pilots to the bottom of the seniority list, FAPA said no. Republic won the bid because of their plan to keep the airline independent.

Incorrect.

Republic won the bidding for Frontier because they were Frontier's largest creditor having won a $250 million dollar award from a lawsuit after the cancellation of the feed contract by Frontier and because Republic also provided Frontier with a $10 million dollar DIP financing facility.

My story is the information that is told by the Frontier interview consultant to be used in the Frontier interview.

The labor issue would have been settled if they had agreed to the staple which was interesting because a very high percentage of them had applications in at Southwest at the time. They did get lucky when they were sold but the arbitrated seniority list still technically exists.

They really didn't get stapled. I think Air Tran wanted Relative Seniority, but instead it was Date of Hire with an equation used to figure out seniority ( not to sure about the equation they used on Date of Hire). I am sure there is an AirTran or SWA pilot on here that could clarify this.
