IMO a TA is probably 10-12 months away. And I hope the union wouldn't send anything out for ratification if it was sub standard in several areas. So let's say it takes years and not months to get a CBA. You (potential employee) will not see the left seat in 6-7 years at the very least probably longer. Over 1500 on the list right now. Current pilots needed for the expected growth is probably around 24-2500 pilots. So if you like to make less than a RJ captain for 7 years then come on over. Maybe attrition will pick up but as a 2 yr guy only 7 have left infront of me since June.

I've wondered the same and my contact currently in training has told me people are round the 2.5k range. His sim partner has 2.5k and is former PSA

Be careful when deciding to come here. Company is planning on around 10 pilots leaving a month for 2017. There's a reason for that. Also, I've heard from multiple line pilot instructors that pink slips are on the rise. If you get a non line pilot as an instructor prior to sims there's been a huge uptick in pink slips for those pilots. Do the math, upgrade times will increase dramatically. Will we order more AC, who knows? will we get a TA soon, who knows? Be careful when deciding to come here and be ready to drink from a firehose!

Bottom line-if you're looking to come to Spirit, you should know we have flight attendants that will be making more than you on first year pay. LOL. Have some respect for yourself. Also hers what's going to happen with the contract. We'll get a substandard TA in the next year. It will be rejected and then while the next substandard TA is being worked on or maybe the next, we'll merge with F9 and then back to the drawing board. Don't kid yourself about coming here. The goodtime to get on and upgrade ship has sailed. Don't say you weren't warned. Also-in the unlikely event a strike is granted just remember this company has a billion in the bank and is just crazy and repulsive enough to use it as a strike fund. Better be saving up boys and girls because this conpany won't bend over after a few days of a strike

If we were to merge with F9 without a contract I think all hell would break loose amongst our ranks. They can't combine the airline without a JCBA so that would,be our only hope. Could you imagine the anger and frustration knowing that when the merger is announced we are at a minimum three years away from a CBA after already being in negotiations for 3-4 years?

I don't think we will ever be released and if we were the company would not squander a billion dollars to stick it to us, they aren't that dumb.
