Recruiting department has confirmed its in the works. Not saying it's a done deal. Could make some sense for Spirit though once the retirements really start to kick in at the big 3 and they start having a lot of guys leave for them.

Which recruiting department confirmed this: Spirit's or GoJet's?

I spoke to the Gojet guy directly involved in putting this together. He said it would be a interview for the new hires only that wished to go to Spirit when their number came up. The guys already at gojet would not have this opportunity. They are wanting to get gojet and spirits interviews similar. Spoke to a gojet captain on my commute home that verified most of this and understandingly he was upset. Again, take it for what it's worth but it seems like a big mess to me.

Sounds similar to the (ETD) Endeavor to Delta program.

go to a job fair, if they like your personality you have a shot. the harder part would be getting through our poor training program

Cool, thank you. One more question: I don't know if you'll be able to answer this but, is an unrestricted ATP a hard requirement? Will they accept a restricted ATP?

It is right now. To be honest i don't think you have a chance at all but that's my opinion. Our mins say 2k tt but that's not what we are hiring for the most part. I know in the fall that everyone in a particular class had 4-6k tt except one person. Don't want to burst your bubble but you probably need to spend some time in the regionals.

If you have 2000 hrs TT, why do you have a restricted ATP? ( I am curious, not trying to me a smart ass). It says an unrestricted ATP is a requirement, so without I don't think they will even look at you.

Sounds like he got hired with GL at 200 hours if 1,800 of 2k is Beech SIC.
R-ATP could still apply for PIC time he doesn't have, or age if he started young and skipped college.
Maybe he doesn't have a R-ATP yet, but that's all he would be able to get passing the ride, if you hired at 200 hours they can't use that training to issue you one when you meet the mins, maybe they didn't pay for a new training event.

Hey Mooney,

Sorry to hear about your experience, but as they say when one door closes another opens... If you don't mind, what is it that makes you feel so strong about Spirit?

Good luck in your search.

I honestly love the people that I have met there. And I really wanted to get in before this contract passes. I can't believe the new pay rates. I like their bases too. 12 years at Mesa is enough too. Spirit recently hired a CA we had that had a hard landing and declared an emergency when there was no need to..maybe I need to drag a wing tip across the DFW terminal and put that on my resume??... it just hurts to see people get hired that have a terrible record. I mean good for them and I wish them the best but it hurts when I'm busting to do the right thing.
