Upgrade Times

Can anyone give some insight to realistic upgrade times at Spirit if someone were hired today. I know Junior Captain had a hire date of 2014, but elsewhere I read it could be 7 years. Is that person not taking into account the 60 aircraft coming on board? I know no one can see the future, but I'm curious to see some responses.

How long would a new hire expect to hold a line in FLL?

Holding a line is a long time in fll. As far as upgrade, new hires right now will probably not see the left seat without another aircraft order, unless attrition keeps going up.

From what I was told we need 16 crew member per AC. So you take 160*16=2560. Right now we are showing just shy of 1700 on the seniority list. So basically there with 160 AC they will need 1300 CAs and 1300 FOs. So right now without another order probably would be a long time to hold CA. ( Now who knows what attrition will be like if we don't get a contract soon)

Even if we ordered another 40, bringing us to 200 aircraft even.
200 x 16 = 3,200 pilots required (~1,600 Captains)..... We already have north of 1,600 on our list, so another order would only help out those already hired in terms of upgrade.

Here's the problem, the company sends out the Seniority List and total number of pilots, not correct!. The what if bids were showing 1703 junior guy. Now we see the 3rd up dated list and low 1600 or 1500's depending on what's correct! Who knows! As far as upgrade 3 years right now. As it goes for new hired they want 32 in Aug and last number i got was they've found 9! Told that on Sat the 8th. If you interviewed you should hear soon after the interview. The big "if" is if they don't order more A/C then it's true anyone hired now is an FO.

For the upcoming job fair in Dallas on Friday, Spirit just announced that they will be conducting limited on-site interviews. Walk-in admission is still available for all attending airlines.

How long does it take in average to hear back from Spirit after one has completed the personality test that they send to you after submitting the initial app? Thanks.

Just out of curiosity, how many tickets have been sold to talk with Spirit and Frontier for this next job fair? It seems like the numbers have been dropping and I imagine that it is difficult for you to keep these fairs going if they don't sell enough tickets.
