150% means nothing when we are making 50% less than our peers..SWA, Delta, AA( which was offered the highest paying contract in the industry) UniCal, and JB....

Precisely!

Exactly. Always negotiate for what you are guaranteed to get based on min monthly credit. When the music stops and there is no open time, you will be kicking yourself for giving up something to get that 150%.
On a personal note, if you want to come to work on a day off, why should I give something of monetary value up just so you can get your 150%? It's your choice to work on your day off.
When you go out on medical and collecting long term disability, that 150% isn't going to help you since your disability is based on your hourly and min gaureentee.

You'll actually be bagging groceries because our ltd is the worst in the industry and while most airline pilots will collect until 65 we only get 2 years

Another thing that has to and will be brought to industry standards. Young pilot group, we should be reasonable to insure. Like anything else, the more it is abused, the higher the rates get.
I am a bit more confident in my abilities and have multiple revenue streams, I won't be bagging groceries like I did when I was 15, lol, but I get what you are saying.

Wouldn't it be better to be earning those multiple revenue streams AND be getting a check for 60% of your pilot pay for the next 30 years on top of it. I know we would all be pretty ****ed to lose a multimillion dollar career just because the FAA arbitrarily decided that the small medical issue you got this year no longer qualifies you for a first class medical even though that issue allows you to fish, golf, and/or work any other job in the world

Overtime vs. New Hires: Which Is Better? | Olympic Staffing

Found this in about ten seconds using a google search.

Please! If I can get one person to understand how a buisness is run.

IT SAVES THE COMPANY MONEY!

Management must laugh their asses off....

We think 150% is a gain in our contract, ha!

exactly. Id rather make the money on MMG than have to constantly "work the system". Dont forget, Spirit opens & closes bases frequently and "working the system" really only benefits those who live in base..................

Wow, you seem pretty worked up for someone that is new to APC. So let me see if I got this right. Company wins by paying us 150%? ok so I get more money in my pocket for working hard, the company is happy and makes more profits. So we win and the company wins..securing my future. so what's the problem. Might you by chance be one of Matyas' trolls trying to prepare us for no premium pay again. Could you be a friend of 'spiritman'?

You've been here for like a minute and now you are the expert on this? How many bases have closed since you got hired here just over a year.

"For like a minute?" are you a twelve year old wanna be thug or is that a phrase you actually use on a daily basis?

Based on SJU & LGA and the threat od DTW closing last year, I think its fair to be concerned about bases opening and closing.................even though I have "only been here a minute"
