Looks to me like normal politics when running for any office for that matter. If he gets elected I guess we will all have to keep our mouths shut or be sued. We all know he has the money to do it after the latest read from Cole but my guess is he will borrow the money from his family execs at Indigo lmao. It's probably a good thing our past reps didn't sue him after all the years of slandering or that massive blowout of a recall on Frank. Oh that he didn't show up to
Not sure if he has money, but I'm sure he don't have family at Indigo. You might be talking about some relative that works in IT at Oaktree. Who cares anyway?
Slandering is different than demanding accountability. Spiritman is an example of what slandering is.
Blowout? By one vote? When many proxies were considered "invalid" due to "errors"? Yeah...whatever.

You mean Spiritman "madman" here on APC? Yeah. Call him to listen to his garbage. We all know it's him. Zero class, smearing another fellow ALPA pilot on a public forum due to his personal hate of Cole and absolute desperation he'll will be elected. This coming from a former status rep, big buddy with the current MEC. No wonder he wasn't reelected.
Also, nothing written on a forum is "slandering," its libelous.
But here is the real issue. I have not been at Spirit long enough to pick sides based on old feuds and dont come into this election with preconceived feeling of hate or love for anyone. However the negativity that people like you, "Alpashutusdown" and others have exhibited towards anything that you perceive to be wrong, has only clouded the message of why your guys should be elected.

Kind of hypocritical here. You assume, right or wrong, who Spiritman is and defame DP based on Spiritman's comments. All the while condemning any remarks made toward Cole that you deem to be defamatory.
Also, nothing written on a forum is "slandering," its libelous.

I admit to being a bit overzealous at times, but as I learned the hard way, ALPA reps are "public" figures and as such are open to criticism of the job they do. However, they - nor anyone else - deserves to be attacked for issues outside of their ALPA work.
Cole has been under attack ever since he was the public face of a recall attempt three or four years ago in FLL. These things happen when the leadership goes on the attack against the pilots. Cole and AH filed the recall, the recall was voted down and they moved on. It appears that the team of the recalled won't let it go. One would think that winning would be enough.

But you have picked sides. You ignore the personal mud slinging against one side while demanding that the attack-ee's stand down.

And I have hardly "picked sides." Perhaps you feel the best course of action is to go toe to toe with an anonymous poster named "Spiritman," not realizing that all he wants is for you to take the troll bait and go back and forth with him. The anonymous poster came on here and posted very strong accusations against Cole and Cole himself replied to those accusations. That should be the end of it, right? You do realize that having a mud slinging competition with an anonymous poster named "Spiritman" hardly does anything to further the cause of trying to help Cole and the others get elected, right?

"spirit man" needs to be outed. What he did here to another pilot on a public forum is completely uncalled for. I would settle for him posting his real name with a public apology. Otherwise there should be real consequences.
Also, I've never seen a bunch of people sling so much mud about an Alpa election. You'd think they were running for President. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. Vote who you think will do a good job. If the other guy wins get behind them. If they don't do a good job, recall them. If you get recalled, suck it up, it's an Alpa position, not a change in what you do for a living.

This has already been established. But he won't sign his name to the accusations towards Cole. Period. To the next fact now....

Let them keep the heat on me, I am only going for LEC Secretary Treasurer, I don't even have a say if elected in most issues, nor do I get to vote much. The anger directed at me is due to me opening the books previously in a recall attempt to make our membership aware of abuse of ALPA trip drops, they know I will do it again to force them to be accountable, including myself. So this has really made me wonder what is being hidden at this time? Like I said, I don't even get a real vote or say in things as a Treasurer, but man these guys give me way more credit than I deserve. I think they are actually doing more campaigning for us, than we are. By the way, I am not rich, I wish I was. Maybe someday.

...the next fact is that despite political divisions here, 98% voted for the strike and 100% walked out on June 12, 2010. We are all aware of who the adversary really is. There are disagreements within our ranks and many shameful "low blows". But when push comes to shove we are all ALPA.
