negative... on hot brakes for a 709.

On a side note: know where to find Ops Specs, beyond the GOM.

You mean FOM. there is no more GOM, right? so the answer would be LPC?

I stand corrected. I have fallen prey to one of my own peeves. Commenting on rumors that I know nothing about. I apologize.

You are correct; FOM not GOM. Think past the Lap top(LPC), GOM, FOM, FCOM or what ever it is called this quarter. Who has and approves NK's OpsSpecs, what office, where are they located/chapter in the new FOM etc....???

The applicable Ops Specs that whomever wrote the book deemed of importance to pilots are REFERENCED in the new FOM. Most are in the "Routine Operations" section, but there are other areas (Int'l, Areas of Operation). If you view it from the ra site, open the file and use the small search box for "ops specs"; it'll hit 'em all.

I'm not a fan of this way of doing it; it buries the Ops Specs and makes them hard to find. I'd rather have them in the more traditional format.

G.L. has a reputation as a ********. We don't know all of the facts in these several events, but a dequal on the way down to a 709 ride (dequal) smells funny. Stay on your toes and put the suduko down for a glance at the COM/AOM.

Gee, imagine that. A new and improved FOM and/or other manuals? Being on furlough, I can only dream of what a cluster that might be. I came to Spirit from a Mickey Mouse airline and knew Spirit was the same when I saw the operating manuals. A GOM in a cheap binder from Wal-Mart. A cheap binder is one thing, but the content, or lack thereof was even worse.

About the LOA's

6 CA's
6 FO's

If they can't find the CA's, are they gonna force downgrades and furlough more then 6 FO's?
