Yeah, I wasn't sure how to take Jyri's comments on productivity.
-Flaps at 1 temp moved to 40C when taxiing in.
-Aircraft deliveries for the next six months to be concentrated on frequency.
-No plans for new crew bases or closing crew bases.
-"Really like more out West".
-Keep PDC "in error" pics coming.
-Reiteration on stabilized approaches.

Wasn't bad. Lasted a little over an hour.
Same ol stuff and concerns.
-Travel department needs work
-Give consideration on brake temp aborts, may not be best course of action.
-New cleaning company hired
-Catering will be outsourced to a company that just does catering. So we won't hopefully be running out of ice.
-EFB are in the contract phase with suppliers etc. Called the "slow phase"
Most interesting point was when Jyri spoke about 117 and the effects it has on the productivity of trips. How we should make our "voice clear" for C2015 on what we want for trip productivity etc. I'm pretty sure we have all been asking for more productivity with trips. I'm sure his point was loaded in regards to the union and contractual limitations. Doesn't seem management likes the 117 limitations on top of existing limitations from the prior FTDT that we still have in our contract
Oh...and most recent upgrade is a January 2012 hire

Maybe im just cynical, but it makes me think that maybe its not a coincidence that these pairings are so bad, in many cases.
Its a classic management move to say "Yeah, these pairings do suck...hmmmm, maybe if you guys give us some relief on scheduling we can make some "super awesome" pairings for you guys!!
Not saying this is at play, its just the untrusting pilot in me.

I think there's three factions here though, one who wants ultra productive trips, one faction that wants nice, easy days, and one faction who really doesn't care. A varied mix of pairings would probably be best though.

Thanks for the update. Has the flaps 40C been put in print anywhere?

I am glad someone asked about travel department. We are getting bigger and we ought to have better agreements with carriers in Europe and Asia. Our travel benefits are horrible. I mean how in the world did we get an agreement with Yugolsavian airlines?
