Lots of talk about a IAH maintenance base opening. Talk about acquiring that ever elusive hangar - this time in IAH. And as a follow on, hearing rumors of 30+ flights a day out of IAH upcoming. Could this be the second international gateway that Spirit has been wanting?

Great. Now I can hear "Tex" (whatever his name is) with the his gallon hat telling us how long he's been in the aviation business (and all he has risen to in that time is station manager). All while rounding us up the second we arrive at the gate to get to the plane so they can fuel............Yippee Ki Yay Mother F*&%#$!

Ugggggggg. I absolutely loathe anything that has to do with Houston.............
Why couldn't it be Philly or Baltimore, or Newark, or someplace less redneck than Houston

I wonder when the New York build up will begin? And at what airport? Spirit's presence at LGA is fairly small and to be a sizeable ULCC, I'm sure a larger footprint in our largest city has to be coming.

Hope so. Frontier is doing a lot out of TTN. Would be nice if we grew a bit in the Northeast. All these new airplanes gotta go somewhere

I wouldn't be surprised if we gave Islip another shot. Southwest has all but abandoned it for LGA, and they're desperate to get another carrier in there.

One NYC scenario I could see is NK swapping their LGA slots to B6 (or possibly a legacy) for some of their JFK (possibly EWR) slots. This would allow NK to expand their reach and fly to places like LAS and the West Coast from New York, all while keeping them in a primary NYC airport. JetBlue (or other legacy) would get some highly coveted LGA slots, slots that aren't necessarily more advantageous to a ULCC like Spirit but are highly sought after by a more business oriented airline like B6 (or other legacy).
