What I'm coming to learn is that Spirit has become the whipping boy for frustrated price sensitive consumers with unrealistic expectations. I would say that our FAs are far better equipped to deal with these unique individuals than any other airline. I've seen extremely classless passengers met with very polite class and smiles more occasions than I can count. Not sure how they do it, actually

I hear that its only approved because Jepp will no longer support the paper version after the first of next year. Big Ben's not spending if he doesn't have to.

Quarterly earnings
Pretty good quarter considering nearly 200 more flight cancellations over 2013.
Spirit Airlines Announces First Quarter 2014 Results: First Quarter 2014 Adjusted Net Income Increases 15.4 Percent to $37.8 Million (NASDAQ:SAVE)

Listening to the webcast now. Sounds very positive going forward.
Hiring to continue, growth increasing passing 2015.
Four more aircraft this year, 11 next year financed vs. leased. (Ben says "at least 11 next year")
On hand cash to drive growth (a lot of cash!).
Low-cost marketing to continue (we won't sponsor sports teams, tv commercials, putting Spirit's names on arenas, etc.)
Virgin moving to Love Field won't affect Spirit at all.
Spirit to possibly take on debt to purchase aircraft vs. lease.
Infrastructure sufficient for growth, scalable to a growing airline.
Load factor around 87%, flying 13 hours a day!
No Venezuela flying any time soon (would be a big market out of FLL).
