Hey all,

My understanding is the best way to become involved in Spirit is via the job fair. As far as I can find the next job fair with availability is May.

Is there something that can be done before this? Are there several companies running job fairs?

Thanks in advance,

P

Was told in recurrent a couple months ago from the CP that a job fair is not required. Yes, they likely help, but not the only way.

I have no idea. I would assume it is based on the delivery schedule being weighted more towards late 2014. I'm not in management nor the training department so I can't say for sure.

I think they are starting to get backed up with training now. Had a friend just finish his type ride 2 weeks ago and he was told to "expect a little wait for IOE."

The bulk of the deliveries this year are coming in 5.5 months. Figures that gives them a few months to clean everything up before ramping it up again hard with new hires and upgrades. Heard we were getting a new touch screen systems trainer for the school house to allow for more new hires.

Thanks for the info fellahs.

Does type rating and time on type count for much with Spirit?

Thanks again

I just had my one year anniversary. Loving it here. Glad to get back to a civilized pay check. Great crews, great equipment, great crews and great future.

In one word: yes. Having an A320 type in addition to all other requirements puts you in the front of the pack.
