Hey guys, I need help getting in contact with a Spirit pilot named T. Tuite. I flew with him years ago at Mesa and want to touch base with him. I will gladly send a pm with my contact info to anyone that can get it to him. Sorry for the thread drift.

Whats the deal?? 9 Canceled flights today - roughly 50% on time? is this status quo or still reeling from the fuel debacle?

Asked a delta guy today about their fueling procedures. They dont require a crew member to be on board when fueling is in progress. Whats with the different set of rules the FAA is forcing us under.

I've worked for several different airlines over the course of my career and this is the only company (NKS) that requires a pilot on board during refueling (with pax on board). However none of the other companies had Airbus equipment.
Is this an Airbus thing?

Nope. We ****ed off the FAA, and this is the result. One of those "won the battle, lost the war" situations.

Couple of questions, I have applied already and was mostly wondering about the health ins you guys have. I did search the thread but didn't come up with much other than you switched from Atena to UHC. Mostly what are the deductibles? I'm paying a little over $8000 a year for our health ins $6000 deductible and about $2000 out of my check for the year, plus the fact that our ins is crap and often refuses to pay for things that have been pre-approved so I get random bills for another $3000. Any insight into your ins would be helpful.

We have several plans, I don't have the details for all of them.
For a family of four I pay around 280$ every other week. 11$ copay, prescriptions are pretty cheap and the deductible is around 750$ for the whole family or something like 250$ per person.
It's a bit tough sometimes to find a provider depending where you live, but overall i personally think that it's not so bad.
The only problem, the company can increase the premium by 7% every year.
Hope this helps.
