Then I'll summarize: marketing usually sells more seats than the airline owns. Summer and holiday schedules are usually affected so much so that additional lift is called in. By definition, "operational spare" here usually constitutes someone else's airframe.

Unfortunately, our scope allows pretty much unlimited sub-service as long as it does not cause a furlough.

Its still costs them an arm and a leg to do the subservice. So I dont see it as a threat to our jobs.
