Vx, great place, but, if the spend money like that I would be worried just like any pilot would. I'm sure they'll do fine over time, I don't believe investors will just keep shoving money for nothing.

On the other hand as much as we make I like the fact that our company would remove a light bulb if they don't use it, I can personally care less about image as long as we make money. My opinion.

FedEx it's a great example, like I said, KCM brings zero money, they are pulling out, it fat they can trim.

This is a business, like any other, you don't give the van driver your regular $1 a bag ($2.00 2 bags) and then $2.00 more just to keep him/her happy so he/she keeps coming back. It's his/her job.

Since this KCM deal ONLY benefits us pilots and FAs, and it has to be run thru airinc (I think), via our company in conjunction with the dep of HLS, our company should get it a get reimbursed by ALPA.

No pickle with you SHY or your company, it was just a example on how different the two managements are.
You are really brainwashed if you think your company is doing a good thing by not paying for KCM.

I not saying to give up anything for it. Hat trade or not, NK will never make money out of it therefore I doubt we'll ever get it. On the other hand, I think will the amount of money that we pay ALPA, KCM would be a insignificant bill and a significant benefit for its members.
I don't want to get in a fight with pro-against union members, I'm pro-efficient for the pilots union.

I believe our union could trim some of the expenses (ie the monthly magazine, etc) to pay for KCM.

And in MY opinion, if I was given the chance to pay for my own KCM, right now, I WOULD out of my own pocket no question about it. My opinion only.

But I can't expect my company to pay for something that brings zero revenue to them.
Why not? What about efficiency? How do you enter your cruise/descent winds? Manually? Boeing winds service? Some companies pay for that, even though pilots can punch it in manually (albeit, takes some time to do it manually). KCM should be exception. It improves efficiency of how pilots are run, makes them happier, less stressed at airports. There are benefits to it, and if the company realized that, they would. Problem is Spirit is so cheap they won't unless you give them something in return. You shouldn't be proud of that fact, not when your company is making millions and can't even put in one dime to improve efficiency. From your posts it sounds like you are really sucked into the management machine.

Dude, shy, listen, I'm not going to go this route, specially with you. You have a problem with spirit, I get it.

I love working for this company, I like having my union, I call it for what it is fair or not.

We save money and make money that's spirit and its well advertised, no secrets.

Do we wish we had more things to make us HAPPY, yes. But here the reality is something else. We fought for what we have, KCM isn't nor was the most important thing to get.

Our company doesn't see a profit, we won't get it. That is itself remarkable. This company doesn't throw the money away on perks. That's why we could sustain oil barrels at $145.

You can say whatever makes you pickle happy about me and my posts.

That won't change the fact that I love this company, I am very proud of it and my co-workers, all of them, the pro and against union. I hope we last a long time, and as far as my union, it should fork the money and pay for my KCM.

I wish you the same feelings, bro!

Just curious--you seem to be quite happy. Are you a Spirit lifer, or are you looking to move on someday?

I don't have a problem with Spirit the airline, it gives exactly what it advertises. But certain management practices should rub off the wrong way. And I say this for other airlines too that are opting out of KCM.
