I respectfully disagree brother. The company gets nothing out of KCM. They will make zero money out of it. And I don't want any extra expenses that would cause hardship on our golden goose. (Look at VX), we make money, lets keep it going.

And we know NK can care less about GOOD benefits for us. So i think it should be ALPA paying for it, after all alpa represents the best interest of the pilot group, NK pilots pay more than enough to cover the magazine we get every month we could easily cover KCM. $3.00 a piece.

And the hat fight, I personally think is the dumbest fight we got going, 80% of us can care less about the doorman hats we are about to received.

That's a very bad attitude to have. "Look at VX", yes look at VX, it loses money on a net basis but still pays KCM for our pilots. Meanwhile your profitable company wanted to get contract concession(s) in exchange for KCM. You just made a record profitable year in Spirit's history. So it is pathetic for your management to want a concession in exchange for KCM. Lets give some credit to your pilots and have your management pay for KCM.

SHY do you work for NK? If you do what in the entire history of this Management team makes you think they will pay for this or should? So what if our company if profitable, we are not southwest, we don't have a lovey dovey relationship with out team. So in turn for them not willing to pay for KCM we should take them to the coals for every single piece contract language that screws them in the end. Just my opinion.

I bet we could be persuaded to sacrifice our lids in exchange for KCM. Has this idea been proposed? Seems like a win-win proposal.

I think it's a small price to pay for a happy pilot. A happy pilot and crew gives better customer service. They call out sick less, are on time more often etc. I'm not sure if customer service is a priority there, but at most airlines it is.

Why single out VX? United, Delta, Southwest and numerous regionals are in kcm and are doing fine, in fact KCM doesn't even figure into their financials...it's minuscule.

The VX comparison was just because of their profits vs their expenses. Efb, kcm, new uniforms, etc. all things nice to have that have no effect on profits or safety, we have been using Jepps and going thru security for awhile now.

NK will get any of those (with the uni exception, witch it happens to be an idea from an ex-VX person, no pun intended) the day that means profits.

Vx, great place, but, if the spend money like that I would be worried just like any pilot would. I'm sure they'll do fine over time, I don't believe investors will just keep shoving money for nothing.

On the other hand as much as we make I like the fact that our company would remove a light bulb if they don't use it, I can personally care less about image as long as we make money. My opinion.

FedEx it's a great example, like I said, KCM brings zero money, they are pulling out, it fat they can trim.

This is a business, like any other, you don't give the van driver your regular $1 a bag ($2.00 2 bags) and then $2.00 more just to keep him/her happy so he/she keeps coming back. It's his/her job.

Since this KCM deal ONLY benefits us pilots and FAs, and it has to be run thru airinc (I think), via our company in conjunction with the dep of HLS, our company should get it a get reimbursed by ALPA.

No pickle with you SHY or your company, it was just a example on how different the two managements are.
