HMO PPO? What is that? Are you saying that the union is allowing a complete restructuring of existing plans?

I hope there's a good reason for this that benefits the pilot group! Aetna was doing a fine job in my book!

Showing up at a doctors office with United Healthcare is like showing up at a Spirit gate with a carryon bag that hasn't been paid for in advance.

Basically:

HMO (listed drs, and referrals for specialists) cheaper premiums and deductibles.

PPO (any dr with in Insurance and no referrals for specialists) higher premiums and deductibles.

Wiki can explain it better, I'm sure.

I don't think anyone is restructuring anything, simply swapping for cheaper and crappier healthcare for us. AETNA is to good and too expensive for NK.

I guess we just need to wait and see what HR is going to present on our union meeting.

For us working, it would be nice if it can be recorded then posted on our ALPA site!

Thanks Sailor. I'm familiar with the terms but when they were put together I thought you were referring to some hybrid. Nevertheless I don't see how they can change the product that the contract says we get. What's next? $140 per month and the hand us a box of band aids ?

If the contract protects our premium it must protect the policy terms or it has no meaning.

Default United Health.

1_If our Union together with NK have been working in changing our Healthcare Provider, with a HR presentation on the 19OCT12,

shouldn't we have some info about the plans in order to review it and then ask some relevant questions during the HR (here it is!, now swallow!) presentation,

and also I thought that our contract said something like NK/ALPA can not change plans for the worst or higher premiums? (too tired to read it now).

2_Do we have a chance to vote for this or not?

3_And, why do I feel like WE are gonna pay more next year?

4_Why Am I getting ****_d off about this?, AETNA has worked just fine, even after we agreed to pay a higher premium.
