? It's a little too early for me to figure out if this is sarcasm or flame bait, I'm guessing sarcasm, tho.

On a different note, looks like we're adding some to DFW.

News for 'SAVE' - (Spirit to add five destinations from DFW)

Jul 03, 2012 (Fort Worth Star-Telegram - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services
via COMTEX) -- Spirit Airlines is growing again at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport.

The low-fare airline, known for its $9 promotional fares and $45 fees for
carry-on bags, will announce today that it plans to add five destinations from
DFW, including Baltimore and Houston.

The move will make DFW Spirit's second-largest hub, behind Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
In a little over a year since it started flying out of DFW, Spirit will have
more than 25 daily flights to 20 destinations, including Atlanta, Boston,
Chicago, Las Vegas and Portland, Ore.

The Baltimore and Houston flights will begin in September. Service from DFW to
Oakland, Calif., and Los Angeles will begin in April. And Spirit has filed
paperwork with the Transportation Department to add flights to Cancun, Mexico.

Chief Marketing Officer Barry Biffle said that customer response to its service
at DFW has been great and that the airline is operating at load factors over 90
percent.

Biffle said Spirit has been looking to add Houston for five years and believes
it can offer leisure travelers a lower fare, even with Spirit's fees for bags,
meals and seats. The airline will serve Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport.

"The people we're bringing on couldn't fly at all or couldn't fly as often,"
Biffle said. "On average, we drop the fares by 40 percent in a market."

Biffle said the growth at DFW is part of the airline's strategy to boosincrease
capacity by about 15 percent each year. It is adding seven Airbus jets to its
fleet annually, which translates to about 20 new routes, he said.

Hello

I understand there has been a lull in hiring this summer, any idea when things will spool back up? If calls aren't currently going out for interviews, does anyone have a guess when that might start up again?

Thanks

4 a month (almost nothing) till SEP (i think), then back up to 6 or 12 a month.
If things haven’t change 2 buses at the end of the yr (nov and dec), then a bunch at in the first and second qtr next yr.

Best of luck

BTW, you aren’t fishing for recommendations, are you?, never mind, internal joke, there is a douche that thinks all people do here is look for a recommendations, as if he owns the airline or IS the hiring committee himself)

Seriously, good luck.

4/month July and August, 16/month September onward. Interviews ongoing, just not as frequent for the time being; should pick up closer to Fall hiring. Good luck to all interested applicants!

Thanks sailor and gatorbird

I'm not trying to find someone to vouche for my awesomeness, but I am keeping my fingers crossed for an interview and want to stay in the loop. And I'm not sure why anyone would have a problem with a little proffessional networking, we can all use all the help we can get. Especially those who want to get on but don't have many connections.

Party on, thanks

RAM, my man, you are talking to me all wrong, I just acknowledge his "we can all use all the help we can" comment, I think its easy to forget how it is on the other side of the fence.
that's all.
But I'm on board for a merger committee, no PBS, and get 150% w/o giving anything (anything) back.

cheers.
