You shouldn't have to do indoc again, thats what about a week and a half? Probably a short systems class, then off to the sim. I personally wouldn't mind a few extra sessions since I was in the plane for about a month before the furlough.

New airplanes?
Will they be A380s?
If so, they could have like 1034 deluxe leather seats and 3 big front seats. We can send them to San Juan...each flight will have 134 seat dupes and will take 4 hours and 10 minutes to board....cool!

I don't want to be overly picky but whats the deal with the seniority list that came out in an email. Last time I checked a seniority list means EVERYONE who has seniority at Spirit, not just the pilots on properity. Again not trying to make a big deal over such a small thing but what the heck does crew planning do that they can't do part of the job they are supposed to?
They should have everyone, including furloughees (FUR) on the list.
The folks in Miramar are amatures and have their heads up their ***.

Any Dec recalls: how was your per diem paid during training? I am under the understanding (section 5, B.) that I should be getting per diem for the whole time (rolling 24) I am in training. My pay report shows for only the time from start of class/sim to the end; so $69.70 for a whole week? Any info on this would be a great help. I'm horrible at interpreting contract language.

It sounds like they only paid you for a few days of per diem. Maybe they didn't pay you for your time in Miramar but they did for the time in Miami or vice versa. I don't know what your base is but if its FLL maybe they didn't pay you for your time in Miramar, saying it was in base so you didn't qualify for it.....total bs but just throwing out ideas. Give payroll a call and ask maybe they just made a mistake.

Your base is ACY effective May 1st, as per the last base bid award. So, technically, you dont have a base in April....well, you do, the company considers you as based in FLL until May 1st. I argued with just about everyone in payroll and flight ops about this and I came to the conclusion that it was better to get screwed out of per diem while on 2nd year pay then vice versa.......pick your battle wisely here!

I dealt with this exact issue in Dec....here's the deal.

I hate to make a dumb post like this:
I talked to an ACY flight attendant last week who heard a rumor that we "could" be getting 5 A320s from Spanair in July and another 5 in August...I know you're probably rolling your eyes as you read this...BUT, I'm just posting to see if anyone else has heard that specific rumor?

In other words, I think this rumor was old last year around October or so. Those planes were too expensive to convert or something like that. It was said before that per PO no more recalls for a while.
