I just hope this is not a sign that we are going into desperate mode again like in 2008. This is a small budget item. It is nothing compared to planes sitting for rat infestation for days.

When small stuff like this gets chopped, it reminds me of taking the bulbs out of offices. Oil is at $102. We did a lot to create additional revenue still we must be coming close to our break even point. Last time around it was $114 per barrel. Not sure what it is now. I don't like this.

I don't think so. It may have to do more with doing it w/o a blessing.

I'm hoping the powers at be saw it to be what it is: a frivolous and unnecessary expense. There's a good story on the super secret board about this

This weekend I saw my first fuel loading like in 2008. Destination, reserve, alternate, and 400 taxi. There was no extra or contingency fuel at all. We took off at minimum required.

We had to change our alternate en-route since the alternate EFOB fell to 2.5. We landed at 6.0 with "alternate" fuel to go another airport in that metro area. I don't know if it was an isolated case or will be more common. The fuel was legal and fine by FOM, but I haven't seen a flight with no contingency or extra fuel at all in a long time.

I've seen a few like that when the wx just barely required an alt, but nothing close to the stuff we were seeing back in 08. Hopefully they learned their lesson.

7 IBD 50 Stocks That Analysts Expect To Report Accelerating Earnings Per Share Growth CMG - Investors.com

Article seems to think we'll have a good first quarter 2012

WTI Cushing is holding at $101/bbl and Brent is at $120/bbl.

Do we use Brent?

Brent blend is a light crude oil, though not as light as West Texas Intermediate (WTI). It contains approximately 0.37% of sulphur, classifying it as sweet crude, yet again not as sweet as WTI. Brent is suitable for production of petrol and middle distillates. It is typically refined in Northwest Europe.

Dang, I feel stupid. Never understood why 'light' and 'sweet' are used to describe oil. Sound like a cookie recipe

I have been having hard time updating my application at Spirit website. Everytime I go there and upload the updated times with resume I get 'you have already applied to this position' message. I am not sure this also updates my times or not.

Can anyone PM me an email address at the hq that I can send a resume please?

Thanks..
