Yes, they use IAE V2500s. Do you know something interesting?

It's probably nothing. Just a "hunch". There are rumors that kingfisher isn't doing to hot, and may be facing some reduction due to lease defaults, unless the Indian govnt does something to bail them out.

I have nothing to substantiate this.

Cheers.

Any commuters notice that we are not the only ones who do this? I believe Continental only has one JS in some/all of their 737's, at least everyone I have ridden on and that is about 5.

We're the only Airbus operator I know of that does it. US Airways 737-400 fleet is mixed, some with 1 seat, some with 2.

I was told that the reason we eliminated a seat is due to our raft capacity. B/c we stuff 178 passenger seats onto the 320, that means we need raft capacity for 186 adults. Well, guess what - A320 standard raft capacity is for 185.

2 Choices:
  1. upgrade to a larger raft than standard
  2. remove the standard secondary flightdeck jumpseat

Guess which option Spirit picked?

As we move to an all A320 fleet and grow larger, more guys will be using us to commute - we'll be leaving more behind.
