Wait a minute there cap. It appears that the union is attempting to move us toward a staffing level that guarantees NO open time. Do you not understand that your attempt to overstaff is the primary reason for any upcoming furlough?

SWA and SWAPA have agreed to staff at a level which allows for open time, open time which is paid at a PREMIUM. (imagine that sports fans)

The last I heard, SWAPA members are: well paid, secure, and happy. Why not follow their lead?

PS they dont furlough, nor do they often offer unpaid leaves because thet're overstaffed.

SB, don't forget that this brain-trust wanted to 'properly staff' so we could drop trips / use float. Odd that open time is trending toward zero, yet half of AUGUST is already RED or BLACK, and most of what is GREEN is 1 reserve away from BLACK. Much better than sticking with the 10% reserve coverage threshold. Then again, no one tracked the 10% requirement anyway. Oh yeah, I have another idea, let's throw the 10% requirement out, and let the company set the reserve coverage to whatever they want it to be. Yes, non NK folks, this actually happened.

I find it odd that an MEC that can tell you how many days / instances of JRM you have with stunning accuracy, couldn't tell us what the rolling 12 month reserve percentage was.

An MEC that has no problem freely distributing a list of all pilots that were JA'd, along with comments including "Tar and Feather". A report that is NOT REQUIRED. Yet has the arrogance to not publish the required FLIGHT PAY LOSS log.

B6 GUYS, THIS IS WHAT YOUR VOTING ON!

Well said sir! By the way, premium pay actually CREATES jobs, especially JRM's. What does scheduling tell us when they call OFFERING a JRM (any other carrier have that)? "Hey, fly this trip and we'll drop that other one." It happens to me all the time. WELL, who flies the dropped trip?! Obviously, another pilot that was not supposed to. So this BS that no or little OT increases staffing and is beneficial is nonsense. No or little OT only forces a future furlough and leaves. But again, many know ALPA's little "hidden agenda" is to increase members and therfore dues.

Haven't seen a list. How about MAK, is he gone too? After all, they do share a brain.
