BTW what did PW do to the A/C and who was the FO? That guy is a pompous...

Sorry, cut and pasted without really paying attention to what was at the bottom of the email.

His FO landed...shall we say...quite hard. 3.4g's registered on the MCDU and PW didnt write up a hard landing in the logbook.

dn,

I'm in MI, and I've heard conflicting accounts of helpfulness of the WIA here. I'm thinking of doing the 737, but I've also heard that the type will hurt you if you get an interview other that Southwest. I figure I've got a pretty good explanation if the WIA pays for it though. We'll see. How much did they pay for? You can PM me if you don't want it public. In MI it's a max of 5k. Thx for the info.

Lets calm down a little! Not only is it allowed under our CBA, but what other option would you prefer? It would be great if we had some more airplanes to cover the flying, but the fact is we do not. We are down an aircraft for a few days, and if we dont contract out the flying all of our pax booked on those flights will have their flights cancelled. In this economic environment we cannot afford to lose a bunch of customers if there is an easy solution to the problem. This is costing the company A LOT of money.....it will not go on any longer than absolutely necessary.

Left handed, I'm writing an article and a thread thats gonna be stickied for the website. I hope to have the thread done later today, but to answer some of the things now WI paid for all of it, Pan Am is running a special 5,000 for the 737-200 in LAS and MIA. Keep a look out for my thread I'll have it up soon and it should help everyone out.

DEJA VU!!!! (Different crew, but same type of incident/accident)

Gotta love the bus...she tells on you!!! Also, after the first one, I never saw anything added to the training to try and prevent it.

Thanks dn, I read it this morning. It is quite informative. Thanks for taking the time for the rest of us. Now a question for everyone. Disregarding cost, what is the best type to get. I know that is a broad question, but what does everyone think is the most versatile or the most beneficial type to get. Including all bizjet types. If i'm going to get some $$, I might as well get the best bang for the buck. I don't really want to buy a type, but if most of it is paid for, it might be beneficial to pay a little myself and get a "better" type.

there was a thread about that question in the corporate section, i would say the C-500 since it covers so many planes. Or I think the LR-30 covers quite a few as well. good luck.
