Whatever happened to the growth the company advertised by 2007-2008, whatever happened to my upgrade from my previous employer and thisone, whatever happened to the hundred of thousand of dollars we were supposed to make.
Whatever happened to this industry. Whatever happened to our country. Whatever happened to the oil prices, you get the point, I know you are smart.
Maybe you should start there!
How long have you been a 121?

But we will be getting 1 plane per month forever. Funny stuff... whatever. btw I never did come here for the upgrade. I left the quick upgrade to come here.

5-6y. You? How is that even relevant? Are you trying to give me a 101 on 121? It was in an MEC email, and I was laughing on the double digit upgrades back then already. I have been preaching no growth since this past summer when on the other board everyone was like... ohh oil... yeah it will be like 90ish. Some idiot even gave me some projected numbers there for a full year.

"Read File: P11-015 - ACARS Landing Report."
Enter conspiracy theory here...
One opinion - self made 'report card' to give management ammunition. Reason for Read File was not explained. Overall, communication from new management has been nil. Bring back PO.

If anything goes wrong the airplane sends messages to everyone short of your next door neighbor... What is this landing report giving them that they don't already have?

It shows huh? I have yet to read anything informative from you in this 250 pages long thread. Save the half sentence smart a.. comments. Why don't you let your massive experience shine on us?
You know because we, the low timers, we just love to listen to the advice of our very experienced folks. It is also entertaining to watch them fall apart during a simple go around that they are not even flying. Or to watch the "more than qualified" former military guy, with a chip on his shoulder, fly the donut on the expressway visual then act all so surprised about the low altitude alert by tower... and on and on...
The one thing I have figured out in my short 5 years of 121 is this: If someone tells me within the first 5 min of our trip how he has a ton of experience, chances are: I am about to get violated; and I am flying with a jerk.
Interestingly the guys that I like to listen to are the ones that have a humble approach regardless of their total time or how many years they have spent in the industry. Somehow you never hear those guys mentioning their experience unless you ask them.
So please... why don't you tell us how much time you have got, how many airlines you have been through, and how you have flown a cargo 747 all over the world for some shady outfit. I can't wait to hear all that.

Norman, all I know is this, I didn't see the point in blaming a person (MEC) for lack of our success as pilots or that of this company.
As you and I know, NK will always surprise us with a low punch. So going after the MEC for telling us what the company told them, doesn't make any sense. We have a different kind of mgmt that will always do what they want, regardless of any contract or policy.
And if you have been around just enough you will come to find out that our lives as pilots are full of disappointments, not all of our careers are like in the movies.
I'm sorry if you felt insulted, it wasn't my intension.
And you are correct, I came across like an A..
Cheers, and no hard feelings.
