Like someone said, oil goes up like a rocket and comes down like a feather. That's how they make money.

Default Sad news

Sorry for the thread hijack. First post with sad news.

Our friend and colleague - Vietnam Veteran (Marine Corp F-4 Pilot), career 73, -9, and 80 Captain and retired Spirit pilot with over 10 years in the training department has been terminated.

I personally have never met anyone that gave a **** as much as Joe about putting out correct and useful information. He told me once when he laid down at night he saw aircraft electrical diagrams when he closed his eyes.

No cheap watch, crappy cake, and pat on the back. Just clean out your cube and there's the door.

Apparently the new kids come two for the price of one.

Send a pm if anyone would like his contact information.

"two for the price of one"

It's not even that good. Apparently, the new guys didn't like Joe's attitude. Joe was loyal and dedicated to us and I'll guess that his loyalty to the pilots was not appreciated by management.

No personal message feature in the forum? Anyway, to contact Joe directly his email is:

his six letter last name at bellsouth dot net.

Please ask your fellow crew if there's any interest in attending a retirement party - maybe at Dockers - say Friday Mar4?

I'm sure it would mean a lot to him.

Very sad day. One of the hardest flights I have had to do.

Godspeed Ces you will be missed many.

Spirit was a better place because you were here.

Ditto. We lost a dear, close friend yesterday...a good man. Sometimes awful things happen to great people and it makes you want to put your fist through a wall!

Godspeed Ces. Blueskies and tailwinds bro, till we meet again...
