No time to counter the facts, but you have time to call me angry?
If you want to know about FPL (trip drops), you bid a DCA long overnight and take the metro/taxi out to Herndon. Knock on ALPA's front door, as for the Sec/Treas and make your request. They HAVE to provide the data. I would do it, but anything I do is perceived to be purely political, therefore it makes more sense for someone such as yourself to uncover the dirt.

So I need to go to Herndon to do an end run around the MEC to get info THEY ARE REQUIRED TO PUBLISH? Wonder if I can get FPL for my time

I notice the usual suspects are hush hush about this policy violation. I just think if they want to publish a JRM log, which is NOT required, they should publish their withdrawals from the big ALPA piggy bank- like they are required to.

More do as I say, not as I do.

Shame on you MEC, and shame on ALPA national for not enforcing their own policies.

Ramrod, while I haven't always agreed or disagreed with your opinion I will say I agree with you here in a round about but more general way.

Something our MEC/ALPA has failed at is communication with the pilot group on MANY(not all) aspects. Going and pointing out all of the communication failures is not needed. But this might be one of them. IF they are required (I say if and might because I honestly don't know) then it SHOULD be published. There should be no need to ask for it if it is required.

I would like to see our union work on providing us with more timely information both if it is required or not.

Well, it is required, but even if it wasn't, it seems like a good idea from a transparency / goodwill sort of way. The report has to be written anyway, shouldn't be a big burden to share it with the pilot group. Unlike the JRM log that we have to pay FPL to a schedcom member to format and put on the website.

You will notice this post will slowly get buried, without response from the resident MEC apologists.

Trip drop log?
ARM gravy train PAX?
MEC emptying my wallet?
Schedcom actively approving the Ray Charles pairings?

Anyone?
Didn't think so.

Some MEC apologists really believe (without any historical perspective) that people like you and me are just trying to undermine the union. Most, unfortunately, are just happy "their guy" is in power as MEC and they don't really care about how that team carries out our business.

It had to be quiet, because there is no way to defend the MEC's actions on those points. I was expecting at least Sailor's or Commuter's standard "Move on".

* The MEC is in violation of ALPA policy, and the apologists know it.
* Certain MEC officers that have railed against OT flying are hypocritically some of the biggest offenders.

* The silence is deafening.

Hey! I've been quiet as of late! I will say I agree with you on this one RAM; especially after the crack-down of 'move up pay' because its 'against the contract'. Is not publishing something required one in the same? sounds like the pot calling the kettle black

Ok, Ok, OK, not all of us are in front of a computer all the time. Yours words are compelling, they remind me of a previous MEC, a while back, lots of barking and finger pointing, remember 3 point back at you.

By the way I agree with you on the release.

Cheers.

Mgmt has been spot on with the new a/c dates and numbers. Everything they have told us this past year has been correct. They say no more a/c this year, three Q1 2011, and 2 Q4 2011. No offense to you at all Bubi, but im gonna play the odds here and say that your source is incorrect.
Don't believe one word they say. The last A320 coming this year is on December 15th. It is on final assembly and will do its first flight in 2 or 3 days just on schedule.

Just a guess but I would imagine when the company talks about deliveries they reference them depending on when the a/c starts flying revenue flights. The December delivery will probably be part of the January schedule.
