Actually, don't call your rep.; call the negotiations chair- that's what I did. He gave a great explanation of where that definition came from during negotiations and why. He also gave a great explanation for why the MEC allows the company to build some of these pairings that are technically in violation of 25.A.1.a...and why others have been discontinued (like your aforementioned 4-leg pairings that end in a Carib/Latin turn...show me one in the December bid package).

Or, one step further, how about picking up the phone and contacting your scheduling committee chair? You did that right? I mean, before you got on an internet forum and cried your eyes out?

That's right, I almost forgot...I did...and he said he hadn't heard from you. In fact, he hadn't heard from any of the guys that were at last month's LEC meeting griping about them. You see, without smoke there was no fire. But guess what? After he was made aware of the potential problems with those pairings, he invoked that "exception" rule you snicker at and guess what? THEY WENT AWAY! I mean, look in the December bid package...GONE! It's amazing! Now we'll just have to turn our attention to those LAS turns out of ORD on the backside...

Man, if you'd spend half the energy you use *****ing on this board towards positive action steps then we'd all be better off...

Dear Ghettobird:

1. No, I'll call on an elected rep, not some appointee of the MEC. My point of contact is my status rep. How long have you been with ALPA?

2. The scheduling committee is tasked with checking the pairings for legality / safety BEFORE they are published. This ILLEGAL PAIRING WAS EXCEPTED by the scheduling committee / MEC. One time is too many. They gave the company relief on this. WRONG MOVE. Four legs / Central America / middle of the night. The holes in my swiss cheese are lining up. RAY CHARLES COULD SEE THIS IS UNSAFE!

They want to publicly 'shame' those that like to work, I will put info out on what is going on here at NK. If your not doing anything wrong, no worries.

4. I noticed you had no comment on:
a)the MEC cleaning out our wallets AGAIN/ 'crack down' on move-up pay
b)MEC not publishing drops
c) ARM riding the same gravy train he is trying to derail

In the words of a once (long time ago) great association... "SCHEDULE WITH SAFETY"

Well here is what I can say. We were suppose to get more airframes on property than we are planning now into the next year. As of today, this is what is coming. This is solid info.

Next A320 delivery - December 15th 2010. Then 2 more deliveries in February and March 2011. Not all A319s were converted to A320s. There are still 13 A319s showing "to be delivered". Those airframes have to be delivered (or else cancelled or sent to another company) by November 2013.
