That blows. I'm lucky, I haven't had a problem with UHC yet. Yet. I'm just saying it's not the ALPA volunteers fault the company decided to act like a bunch of dickheads and change the health plan all to save a buck.

So I guess this violation just isnt heinous enough to Implement our 'fast track arbitration' provided in contract 2010 . Uncle Vito dont blame UHC. Spirit allowed it because they are self insured. They can make the policy say anything they want as long as it doesnt violate federal statute.

I agree it's not an ALPA issue and I'm glad to see that they put something out looking for examples. I was, of course, speaking tongue-in-cheek that maybe guns blazing wasn't such a bad idea. You don't mess with a man's family.

You don't mess with a man's family, you're right. And I think Android was just a little hasty, but he's right they need to be more proactive. I sure hope this crap gets fixed quick!

I'm with Android's position. Casually saying you are grieving something just doesn't cut it. Gonnsen has always been lame and shouldn't be in that position.

For those if you that don't care, I'm glad to hear you have no illness in your family.

If we have such a provision, we need to attempt to activate it now and not wait until later as I found out in a previous pilot group that waited to file a grievance and a judge denied it stating that the pilot group was "making it work for over a year so they couldn't grieve it later" I.e. If you don't use it you lose it!

I would like to have heard a more butt-kicking tone... two months ago. However I am glad they are looking at it now. I guess this request for info is the first step. I'm glad we were in a position to pay up front and now try to get UHC to reimburse us.

We had a similar situation with the red/green. I think we have 60 or 90 days to file a grievance. Once that is done, it is in the system and as long as it takes to arbitrate is fine.

NOT TO SAY THIS DOESN'T NEED TO BE FAST TRACKED

Great news out yesterday, the FAs are finally getting KCM. It's long overdue.
