It is kind of weird to be looking at a new AC in 4 weeks and not one recall, with some increase flying, 3-4 guys gone and running a little lean on rsvs.

I am hearing absolutely no recalls until the contract is signed. They are planning on crunching the flying into 85 hour 13 day off lines in the short term until they are able to get an accurate count on pilot staffing using the new contract.

I'm glad "they" think there is going to be a contract. Maybe the pilot group will vote a resounding "NO" on what will be proposed if it is not any where near industry standard and not this concessionary type männliche scheiße...

Don't get me wrong, I want the company to remain competitive but not at our families expense while lowering the "bar" to a new standard.

Any way... off my soap box

That makes sense. Lets hope that WE THE PILOTS AGREE TO THAT CONTRACT, Unanimously.

Agree, didn't quit a sc8m commuter airline to be in a worse place. The 4 day off and better pay was a no brainer, among other things.

My question is why wouldn't they do that anyway? We know they are so into saving $$$. I hope they don't go to this permanently. The pilot burnout would be tremendous. 85hr x 12months is 1020hrs in a year (obviously not sustainable). They are just running so thin and I can see the cascade effect of not enough reserves and running people ragged, especially during bad WX or if a plane breaks, etc.

I hope in the new contract we will see a 14 or 15 day off min for lineholders. That would force the company to build more productive schedules. I think Grazel is of the mindset that we must do as much as possible with what we have, then recall only when absolutely necessary. If you look at the lines here the last six months most are incredibly unproductive, and if they can manipulate the schedules to get rid of these 23 hour overnights and 3 block hour flight days we will not see a need for recalls here for quite some time......fortunately for you furloughed guys I dont think they are that smart.

I can confirm from someone I know working at Airbus in Toulouse that the A320 is in fact shown as out of the production line maybe at this moment even heading for the paint shop at the Hamburg facility. Great news! (sorry - I didn't believe it until now)

Why recall guys when we have a pilot here among our ranks sitting seat support for FREE down at Airbus???

That's right...here's the latest rumor du jour...I have confirmed reports that one of our junior captains is sitting seat support in the Airbus simulators down in Miami for FREE!!!

Who needs to recall pilots when you have a guy like that shooting us in the foot! The worst part is that the company is willing to PAY HIM, yet he declines compensation. Is he warming up for a PC? Is he trying to weasel his way into the training department? Is he training to be a SCAB??

I think he needs his head examined. I've been told that the union has been made aware of this guy's shenanigans, so they will most likely handle it. Looks like he may be the first one to cross...
