I only mentioned the CA open time due to the fact that there seemed to be a lot of hand wringing because of the lack of CA Open Time. Things usually need to be said a couple time because people miss things on these boards, you only need to see how many pages this thread has added in the last couple of days to see that.

And no, I'm not on CA OE or anything like that, in fact my FLICA is so screwed up now, I don't have the ability to submit for IOT. With the IROP, I wonder if it'll get fixed before IOT ends.

Yes, but that is due to poor planning way above my pay grade, because next time they come to the pilot group to help them out of their problem, I hope a bad precedent has not been set.
Exactly what I was thinking. We shut this place down for five days during strike while company was operating in the red.....we survived. I usually try to give people the benefit of the doubt, so until now still hadn't jumped on the Bendo trashing bandwagon. But his last podcast made me realize what a used car salesman he really is! It's one thing to shell out these excuses to the public to cover our ass, but to try and sell it to us that work here?! Weather alone at two of our stations almost shut an airline down?! "Stopped crews from being able to get where they needed to go to work"!? Really??!! This is a normal day in the airline world!

It is now apparent he can't be trusted (yes I'm a little slow!!).

I have thought this from the first time I met Bendo. He has contributed nothing to this airline and all his cost cutting measures has actually cost the airline more money. I really hope the BOD takes notice and shows him the door.

Shutting the operation down for 24 hours and resetting all crew rest like Jetblue did during their meltdown would have been smart and survivable.

Can anyone in the know tell me if we're supposed to update the application periodically for Spirit or just "set it and forget it"?

Thanks

I never updated mine. I applied May of last year, and went to the job fair in November, got the call around February of this year.

It is pretty scary that management has the operation running so lean that a little bit of weather ended up canceling hundreds of flights in a week. Someone should be fired for this poor planning. I want to finish my career here. Knock that **** off. Nice job to the employees for fixing the holes in the boat.

Weather was the straw that broke the camels back.
