You're putting words in my mouth but IMO they pick up tons of open time not because we're underpaid but because the previous contract conditioned them to. Honestly I don't care why they pick it up. Or that they do. Pick up as much as you want. Making money is not a crime. Claiming to own open time because you are based a certain place is
Btw many in our list are much more than 30% underpaid. A 3rd year fo needs a $54/hr increase or 69% just to gain pairity with American. A 3rd year captain needs an $85/hr increase or 67%. That's not including the 7% increase im 401k contribution and getting my 9% contribution back in my pocket

You've really got me mixed up with someone else. Maybe your flag pic has something to do with your reading comprehension. I don't think anyone is using autobidding software, but if they were, I hope they get found out and everyone gets to know who it is. Maybe it's you!

That's reasonable, but with something like this, if it was proven someone was using autobidding software he or she has to be made known to the rest of the pilot group. Difficult to detect, I'd think not, difficult to stop? Probably not either. There's plenty of human interface portal systems that can be easily integrated into FLICA to filter out auto software or robots. It might be a little bit more of a pain in the a$$ logging in or submitting for things, but would prevent auto software issues.
No disrespect intended, sorry if that was inferred. I agree that the contract took a hit with the loss of 150%. And I also agree that significant portions of our pilots have a greater differential in pay than other Airbus drivers. I just took a random number (looks like it was too low). I was just trying to spotlight that we as a group are underpaid, and the "open time club" needs to see that the answer is better base pay for all and not having first shot at tweaking their schedule at the expense of someone else doing the same. We are and will continue to be a commuting company for some time to come. We need flexibility for all, not for a small group of people in one base. We need to work together or the company will use it to divide us.

That's what I was thinking as well, but I'm still not convinced there is autobidding going on. Doesn't mean it's not happening, doesn't mean it hasn't happened at other places, Im just not convinced it's happening here. Not until there's proof.
I think we're getting a little ahead of ourselves here. I don't know of anything that prohibits use of such software, so before we start burning people at the stake, I think a MOU prohibiting it is in order.

I don't think there is auto bidding going on as much as people's underestimating the speed at which someone can input trade requests and thus assume it must be computer automated. I watched a senior capt at the start of DOT input more than 15 swap requests in under 20 secs or to put it another way, the same amount of time it took me to analyze and input just one request. I wouldn't have believed it myself if I hadn't just witnessed it. Then we waited for over 2 and a half hours before the requests were starting to get answered. Out of the 15 request the first 7 were approved 1 denied and a few more were denied because they were dependent on something on one of the first 7 that had already changed. It showed me that a person with a computer and a mouse can beat by a large margin a person on an iPad or iPhone.

I agree, I think that's what going on more than anything. Guys will throw in a bunch of requests, then filter it later. Sorta like playing a whole bunch of numbers in Roulette and hoping the ball hits one of your numbers.
However, doesn't seem to be an issue this month. There's more Open Time on the CA side in FLL than can be picked up. Maybe the FLL CAs will get a JA! Hope they do!
