Yeah...that survey is gonna get a big FU*CK NO from me. Everybody needs to call or email their rep to put the kibosh on this BS quick.

Yes, I cannot see how limiting open time pickup in other bases does nothing but hurt our quality of life. It limits what we as pilots can do, and as the summer is coming there'll be time for everyone. I believe it limits the company as well, so any change to the current system is going to have to come at a price. And any price is too much for something this stupid.

I don't care if people pick up out of base and certainly won't restrict via giving something up. Everyone just needs to make sure they participate in the survey.

I also think they worded it in a very smart way. They are letting every know that if you want to limit Out of Base Open time P/U, it will have to be negotiated, so think loooonnggg and hard if you want to waste everyone's time & money pursuing such foolishness

Not sure I understand why picking something up out of base is such an issue over there. At my current airline we have no restrictions on that. That flexibility seems to be more helpful than hurtful for the pilot group more often than not. Especially when you are a commuter and a trip out of a different base might work better. Seems a little short sided to me unless there are specific issues that Spirit has with that that are unique....

The specific, unique issue we have is a couple of very vocal pilots got the ear of their not so bright union reps who agreed that out of base pickups were a bad idea. Now those reps want to waste negotiating capital to restrict it.

Maybe I'm missing something but I was not under the impression that the majority Rep was in favor of this?

I'm not even sure Jason came out and specifically stated he was in favor?

Maybe I'm mistaken, but how does this even make it to the table without some sort of union support?

Well, they tabled it, which is where resolutions usually go to die
