Aren't ALL badged crew members allowed in the foot print of their own aircraft and a direct path to operations? Pretty sure that isn't just for us lofty pilots, but I could be wrong. Been a long time since I've looked at the FAA rule on that.

I don't have a copy of the fa manuals, but fas are supposed to be on board when passengers are boarding. She may have been deadheading but the story said the passenger asked her what she was doing after takeoff so she was working the flight. And scr3w that guy for getting her full name looking up her Facebook and runnin off to some news channel.

From what I hear, it was a crew change from the hard stand at O'Hare. No passengers on the airplane, they all saw it from the terminal. I hope she doesn't lose her job for that, I can't imagine she will...

No way would she do it when boarding? IMO from what I've seen most passengers don't look out windows once on the plane during boarding. But when they are looking at the plane arriving through the glass windows from the gate area, their eyes are glued on the plane. This is when they probably saw the FA. In between turns.
