Spirit of NKS
I have learned that John Prosac and John Patrick are using ALPA assets to protest the recall of the MEC officers. They are no friend of this pilot group and must clearly be terminated immediately.
I can't imagine the nerve using the P2P email system to do combat with your own MEC.

Funny I don't recall seeing any emails by those guys that were anything along the lines you are suggesting

I will be the first to say that recalls are not always the smartest thing to do , especially given our current position.
With that being said, I completely believe that this was the right move for us and for the company. The guys running the MEC were mostly topped out and making some killer money doing the MEC thing. They had no real reason to push for the best contract possible because they are already living a pretty nice life. I'm not saying that is how they thought but their actions seemed to say otherwise, and it could have effected the out come of section 6 significantly.
Additionally, Chris needed a reality check, his actions and words to me personally did not signify him as a leader. Not knowing him on a personal day to day basis its hard to judge him in whole but I strongly believe it was his time to go. If for nothing else we needed some new blood and new ideas.
I feel James is the right man for the job because he has the burning desire to lead and get us on track to be well paid. I think he will get some of our apathetic pilots to get on board to get the best possible contract. We have so many guys here that are more than happy being the lowest paid Airbus pilots, it maddening see our group so divided over what we should or should not be getting paid.
Please give this guy a chance to bring us together and kick some ass!
Cheers

Fair enough, let's give him a chance. As far as bringing us together, this might have been a step backwards.
I do not agree with your description of the mentality of our previous MEC guys. Have yet to see that mentality from any of our Union volunteers. We have a lot of smart people who have been working on our behalf for quite awhile. Their experience is an incredible asset, and contrary to some postings on this thread, they still have a lot of support.
Let's hope JA and company can manage and utilize these assets, instead of alienating them.
“This was what needed to be done to get sincere representation of my pilots.”
Jason,
With all due respect to your stepping up and volunteering,
Whether warranted or not, there is a growing impression that the 109 Reps (and now possibly 77) are beholden to a very small group of pilots who have benefitted enormously by disregarding the contract (and therefore their fellow pilots) in the past. This impression has unfortunately been fed by your own words (whether intended or not), the praise of the usual suspects here on this board, as well as the gloating that occurred on the past Super Secret Board about their plans to dismantle the MEC and install “26%ers” in leadership, negotiating and scheduling oversight positions.
The growing perception is that what you mean by “my pilots” is exclusively this “Special Deals Squad”, and that this little coup has been in the works since those special deals and the identities of those that have made a fortune on the backs of we who follow the contract (and those who were furloughed) came to light. For the rest of us that DON’T have scheduler’s home phone numbers on speed dial (I am not implying that you do)…beach houses on Caribbean islands, exotic cars, boats and planes funded by special deals…for those of us who wonder why our phones never ring with sweet JRM’s while hearing about the good fortunes of those who seem to secure them weekly…for those of us who have always and will always follow the contracts that we sign with our ethics intact…would you please dispel this perception.
Specifically by answering:
1. Do you support, or have you ever supported a pilot’s ability to make their own individual deals with the company as long as that deal is not specifically prohibited in the contract?
2. When given a choice to vote a position that benefits the 26%er’s (or whatever you choose to call that group) but that is opposed by the majority, what group of “my pilots” will you represent?
Thank you in advance for your honesty and transparency. If you and the other Reps truly plan to represent the vast majority of us, you have our full support, loyalty and thanks.
Fraternally,
Your Pilots

I have yet to see an actual reason that these guys were outed other than the generic "its for the best." My question is the best for who? And what exactly did they do?
btw, i definitely should know this, but where can i get my seniority number? I am assuming the one on the bid packet is simply out of bidding pilots ie excluding mgmt etc
