A vacancy bid was posted on RA today for 25 FLL flight attendants for March. I don't know if that will mean anymore pilots, but they need more people behind the cockpit door. Maybe we'll hear something soon

Sorry to be pessimistic, but FA's get fired and quit all the time. Until the pilot one comes out, I'm not getting my hopes up again. I've learned not to get my hopes up with this company. That way bad news never disappoints me and good news is double the excitement.

You are probably right. The vacancy bid for pilots is not even up. That doesn't look too good for March.

Union people are saying strike in March.

Management people are saying strike in March.

If I were furloughed, I think that I'd be happy to stay that way until after March.

Yeah until management starts recalling furloughed guys to be scabs...fires us when we decline...and then our jackass union looks the other way.

I don't think we'll strike and honestly don't think ALPA would let that happen to terminated probation pilots, but all this silence makes me wonder...are we getting new planes? If so, does Spirit even plan on anyone flying them? How many pilots?

I love getting the silent treatment. It makes me feel like I'm 6 years old.

Exactly. Wait for a strike that most probably will not happen.

What makes you think that it won't happen? I'm not jumping up and down in anticipation, but I do think that we will be on the street for an extended time.

I have to say that it is disappointing that we have received more comm from the new VP Ops than from our union these last few weeks.

On a related note, can you believe the self righteousness oozing from those letters? This pilot group HAS been treating the company the way we want to be treated, now it's their turn.
