We ain't giving up sh*t an if we do then we're just plain stupid. This airline is making buckets and buckets and buckets of money. The thought of giving up somethin, anything is making me sick. I understand what the negotiaton committee is talking about but there is plenty to gain even if we sign by August first.

New MEC Chairman? ***?? Is that real or are one of you trolling for reaction?

Who would be stupid enough to propose something that like a month before we open up formal negotiations?

Damn, dude. Do you even read the union communications? I mean I'm super new to all of this but your last few posts are coming out of some alternate universe. Bash the MEC, bash the NC... sounds like someone has an agenda here. Why not spit it out.

I've been to my Council meetings, recently spoken to 2 of the NC reps (one new, one holdover), read the Fastreads and talk to my rep when I need to. Where are you coming up with your BS?

Just like Ram said, and sometimes he comes across like a hog playing in a vile pit, our union, most likely will target the 70% 2010 hire and on. Almost a guarantee yes vote to anything. (EFB-DL prelude)

If they plopped down delta's or united's, (maybe southwest but not American) contract plus 10% and keep 4 days off I'd sign it tomorrow, PBS and all- just sayin. Southwest doesn't have PBS though.

What makes you think I haven't? Because that assumption would be wrong!

You must not have been here when Spirit threw the contract out the window prior to our strike. I'll never vote in a contract that gives this management more control over my schedule than it has now. Also, if you give up work rules you NEVER get them back. If we were ever to enter bankruptcy all the provisions you mention receiving in return for giving up line bidding go away. You're pay and retirement gone with the signature of a judge. Have a little foresight.
