If communication was truly a priority, email would be the way to go. Five minutes, hit send and you're done. Instead we get "call me, I'll fill you in" knowing most won't call / leave a message / wait for a return call. It's almost like they don't want the info out there.
Its on the way to being fully covered. We are not done training p2p pilots. This is exactly the job of P2P. So why do you expect me to operate differently than P2P? You want me to send a 109 comm detailing our finest plans? You're a trusting guy.

I guess I'll say it again - I'm not giving them info on a silver platter.

I'm FPSRussia and as always, have nice day.

About a month ago our average new hire had a little over 7000hrs. I'm not sure of the break down from there.

Here is a news flash for you, whatever you know, whatever you think is a big secret, they thought of before you did. One of the many things that suck in your position is that you are trying to play poker with all your cards on the table.
@ Ramrod (btw love the reference)

The reason you will never see a union email stating the things you are requesting is simple, liability. Once a rep, officer, or management puts something in write whether it be in email or public filing they are now 100% responsible for the words that are being published.

I would love to read fucck the company emails and see a line drawn in the sand but we publicly are never going to see that. Does it make us ****ed off and feeling like mushrooms? Yes, but that is how the game is played.

Now we just have to trust ( which is hard ) that we are going to get the best deal possible, if we don't we vote it down and the cycle starts again. The ultimate power is with us, the pilot group.

I would love to see our reps and MEC start pulling us together instead of letting the factions we have destroy us.

add: the reason above are the only reason p2p exist so they can let info out and not be held responsible for it down the road in court

Communication has sucked the 8 years I've been here. Not gonna change. Training P2P guys. ***? It's been a year or more hasn't it? How long does it take?

I would like to see the MEC Chair and Vice Chair become more visible/high profile to our pilot group. It still amazes me that the MEC Chair is not on full flight pay loss either. We are growing as a pilot group and need these guys working full time on our behalf.

4 people showed up to the LEC18 meeting in Chicago and almost 40% of this group failed to even bother to fill out the contract survey form. I regularly engage people I fly with on union emails and most have said they haven't read them (most recent examples are the pay rate and retirement comparison emails). Communication can be better, but the overall apathetic nature of this pilot group is alarming and independent of any external communication. How will these pilots know what we are worth and what is fair if they have no idea what industry average even is?

Agree, and I have asked the Chair personally why no flight pay loss and he replied they are paranoid about the witch hunt that will follow regarding abuses of the system. I don't agree with him nor do I think he really wants the job.

Hopefully, this will change in the future.

What's alarming is "Bendo" coming into recurrent and guys think he is a nice guy who will help them out. I can see the calculator in his head churning to figure if he has 51%.

Bendo does put on the nice guy routine pretty well. It's been my experience that he's a fairly straight talker. I'll give him credit for that. Hopefully guys realize that he was responsible for breaking AMFA at NWA during his tenure there.
