Speaking of catching herpes. How are the accommodations during training? I also heard a disk and packet are sent out before class. Can anyone comment on the school house footprint and what to expect?

If it's still the crowne plaza it's a nice hotel. Food options are limited without a good walk. First two weeks are horribly long and boring.

Mushroom, meet fire hose. Hose, meet Mr. Mushroom.

Seriously, you will feel behind and underprepared right up until the last lesson when it should all click. Don't worry, that is normal. As for the rest, maybe someone who has gone thru recently can expand on that.

The result of this will be very telling of our future I think. As we grow eventually the big guys are going to view us as a threat. We can't stay completely, out of their way forever

I agree with the above statement. However, the article is very misleading. Stating Delta management views us as a threat.... No, the Cowen group which is a consulting firm is speculating we are a threat to Delta. I'm sure 15 non stop flights isn't cutting into Delta's billion dollar profits...

I think RICHARD Anderson said at some point that he doesn't want us to become like South West, taking market share. Although if our company propaganda is accurate we don't take market share but make our own so there is no point in going after us.

Just have to see what happens. Looks like we co exist just fine with ual and amr in their hubs

The simple fact that Delta has changed strategy to reflect the "four cabin strategy" is all the evidence needed that Delta is taking the ULCCs seriously.

Doesn't mean they're going to try and compete heavily with us, but I bet they do take the financial model seriously. It's not about market share or passenger loads, it's all about MONEY. I bet Delta (United and American) are seeing the money the ULCCs are making as a lost opportunity for them.

BUT, you can copy the model, but it may not be the same. See Apple and Samsung.

And, I wouldn't worry much about what RA says, he pretty much just insinuated that the Gulf airlines were complicit in 9/11. Not actually what he said, but the perception of that was made.

If thats true, why are we waiting for the alaska/delta fight to end before moving into SLC/Seattle/etc?
