Can anyone expand on the reserve life at Spirit. Read a few dozen pages back 13 days off and 3 hr call out.
76hrs credit right? Are you released the last day if not assigned? Can you swap reserve days? Can they flow you into days off if needed? Anything else? Thanks.

Going into days off is in the contract but unless you are stuck somewhere with a broken plane and or really bad weather its not like they roll your day off like they do at the regionals', of course there is always an exception and it has been done and most of the time the company tries to make it right via move up pay or 200% pay or something. For the most part scheduling works well with the pilots, but like any airline we have the one guy that tries his hardest to be the biggest dick in the world.
72 hrs credit
Yes you are released 6 hours before the end of your duty period if you are not used on the last day
Swapping, actually a sore spot right now, the contract does allow you swap days but there must be a RSV day available to swap. If you ask the company there are never any open RSV days because they don't make them up out of thin air, and if someone drops say 5 days of RSV in a month that doesn't mean that planning is going to drop those days back into open time to be swapped for. Hope that made sense.
I think it is 12/13 days off depending on the amount of days in a month. The 3 hour call out is to push, NOT 3 hours to show.
Hope that helps and I hope I am correct.

Just went through KCM FLL- asked the TSA guy when KCM would make it to T4- his response was that it would just be in T3, due to the higher number of crewmembers coming through T3.... Really??
FLL Terminal 4 is a disgusting place anyways...
"FLL Terminal 4: You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious."
.....or was that Mos Eisley?

Nice reference. Now if we could only waive our hand at security and say "these are not the pilots you are looking for."
They've already got one monkey guarding the exit; with all the Thousands Standing Around your think they could scrape up one more, and give it one of those laptops they use...

T4 is the worst checkpoint in America but without the flight attendants it's just us and silver and I don't know if silver has Kcm
There is a certain supervisor who consistently tries to intimidate, and does not play by the contract.
If this happens to you, please bring it up to the scheduling committee.
They want to hear from you.

This has been a ongoing fiasco for years now. Still the same, just don't get gabled!
