If you're under 40, still an fo here, not to mention all their retirements, it seems silly to pass it up??? Get the job, then turn it down if you still don't want it.

Too many unknowns here yet to take that kind of gamble.

Just an opinion......

Well the good news is the only way is UP now, lol.

I'd like a happy medium between rates & work rules. Buddy of mine says 11 days off, 75hrs is pretty standard.

Sadly, I'm at 11 days off to get my credit up. I guess the silver lining is we have the ability to move our schedule around And drop stuff but that's about all we have at this point...........

AAs CA rates aren't all that impressive compared to ours given the environment our current contract was negotiated in but Jesus Ch-st our F/Os are officially the most embaressing part of working here

Well, since you mentioned it, I'll just leave this here (rates effective 01 Jan 2016)...

Irrelevant. Quick upgrades won't always be the case. If we want to make Spirit a career airline, we need to stop thinking like this.

Not sure what equipment your buddy is on, but that's not normal on the Airways side*. Of course, we have PBS coming so who the heck knows how it'll all shake out. To your point though - our pay rates are absolutely masking some pretty crappy work rules. Hopefully you guys can find some middle ground.

*I just picked a random base/equipment pair: the March lines for DCA 320 guys average 16.5 days off and 78 hours. I'm a 190 guy in PHL, and our March average is 15.9 days off and 80 hours.
